I'm new Ohio, want to learn about where I live. Knowing the history helps to understand about the people and the land.
Provides a 'transect' of frontier history using the Ohio as its chord. A good overview of what all was going on in the Ohio basin in pioneer days. There was much more activity than most people would suppose from broad and general US history courses. I recommend it if you have a particular interest in Kentucky and the lower mid-west.
